Welcome!!! Batch 2009-11 !!!!

A new year, a new beginning. As the juniors (240 in all- 120 in BM and 120 in PMIR) enter the portals of XL, it is time for the second years to think about their past year- a time for reminiscence. What a transformation it had been for all of us over the past one year? Anyway, this post is not regarding the year that has gone by but about the new entrants into this prestigious B School.
As soon as the Batch of 2009-11 set their feet within the 25 acre campus of XLRI, the grind began. The preparatory program for around a week, which is supposed to give a glimpse of how life at XL would be for the next two years of their lives, lived up to its name. Classes by the who’s who of XLRI, glimpses at the history of Jamshedpur and XL were all a part of this.
One interesting point worth noticing about the present batch is the enthusiasm they are showing for everything XL. Well, the batch of 2008-10 have worthy successors. Also, from this year on, PMIR has 120 students with students being divided into two sections. It does seem a bit- to use the word- ‘different’ to suddenly find 60 juniors more on campus and PMIR being divided into two classes and this might take some time for the PMIR seniors to get used to.
After the preparatory and initiation programs for the juniors, it’s now time to formally introduce both the formal and informal committees to the junior batch. Like always, the informal committee- TAXI, the Tamil’s Association at XLRI, the oldest informal committee at XL had a brief introductory session with the juniors on Sunday and within a few days, the other informal committees will be following suit.
Well, Batch of 2009-11, Be yourself! Remain enthusiastic (in XL Lingo, Put Enthu)! Keep the XL Flag flying high!

Revival of this blog

It sounds good when something for which an obituary has been written comes back to life again. I am Vineeth Ravichandran, a student of 2nd yr PMIR at XLRI and I would be handling this blog from now on.

Whoever has been a part of XL would vouch for the fact that there are too many things about XL to write about..the events, the campus life and so on. I would try to make this blog a medium for all those and to put it in simple words, everything XL .

This blog gets a new editor, Vineeth Ramachandran

Hi,

At last I got a query from someone who is interested in keeping this blog. Vineeth Ravichandran, a 2nd year PMIR student. Vineeth can you first post a few words introducing yourself and your plans for this blog?
